Junko was born in Japan and moved to the United States and 1987 to expand her knowledge of dance. An injured back led her to Pilates, and she received her full certification under the direction of Carla Hales.
Her love of movement is vivid in her fluid and graceful teaching of the Pilates method. She specializes in post-rehabilitation Pilates in conjunction with Adobe Physical Therapy. She has taught mat and reformer Pilates trainer certification courses in Japan since 2003.
