Addie Kugler was introduced to pilates over ten years ago while studying classical ballet. She first trained in the pilates method under Brent Anderson, PT, (developer of the Polestar Method) in Sacramento. Later, in 2003, she received her STOTT Pilates Comprehensive Certification at the STOTT Pilates International Certification Center in Toronto, Canada. The nine-month Comprehensive Certification Program included Functional Anatomy study under Dianne Woodruff, CMA, PHD; an Injuries and Special Populations course; and an apprenticeship in the STOTT Pilates Studio. She passed Essential/Intermediate and Advanced Certification Exams in 2003. While in Toronto, Ms. Kugler studied with STOTT Pilates Education Director Beth Evans, Instructor Trainers Laureen DuBeau, Darcy McMurray and others.

Ms. Kugler updates her skills and knowledge of pilates by working at annual fitness trade shows such as Mind Body Spirit and IHRSA. In the Bay Area, Addie has worked with Melissa Condron, PT, at Streamline Bodyworks in Livermore. She also teaches Pilates at UCSF Mission Bay's Bakar Fitness Center.

Ms. Kugler holds a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in Business and Humanities from Golden Gate University and is a returned US Peace Corps Volunteer. She loves helping her clients develop mind and body awareness through pilates.
